This is a great looking VERY RARE Waltham Electrodyne Diver's watch with all stainless steel case that sets, and runs great. The watch keeps excellent time. The date function works properly as well, and advances each night at midnight. The rotating bezel works properly as well on the watch.
LIP actually made the world's first electronic watch, being introduced in 1958, and using a tiny diode to reduce sparking of the contacts. The R 184 was the world's first electronic watch with a date function. The case on this watch is very large, going well with today's fashions at 38mm
